Interesting Case 1.

A 65-year-old female presented with the complaint of pain and fullness in the right flank region, which she had been having for the past 1 year.

There was no history of associated urinary complaints.

On physical examination, a lump was palpated in the right lumbar region, which was tender with a smooth surface and ill-defined margins.

The kidney function tests were normal. All hematological and biochemical investigations were within normal limits. Urinemicroscopy showed no abnormalities.

    1. Good to know you identified the organ correctly as we can appreciate the renal pelvis & corticomedullary junction in the lower portion of the kidney. There is definitely a mass sitting in the upper part. Its white in color, solitary & unilocular cystic structure which is a hydatid cyst. Kidney is a rare site.
